Well this may be old, but anyone who hasn't picked up the new issue of Super Street, please do so just to see the downfall of American "tuning" (should be called spueming instead?). I literally shat my pants when I first saw this article, then I re-read it and that time I couldn't stop crying. You must all be wondering what would cause this...well it's tough to say as my emotions may overcome me again, but here goes:

If you all don't know yet, this car will be the new "star" car for the new Fast & Furious(lly gay) movie. The car has more NOS than a dentist's office and 2 mind you, TWO APC STICKERS ON IT! AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Thankfully fate stepped in and as I turned the page a real Skyline (Signal's) was gracing the paper. My crying stopped and I ripped out the 4 previous pages that we're written by Satan himself. I never thought a Skyline could be evil, but I have officially dubbed Craig as the gayest man ever on the planet earth. Well the whole point of this post is not to decide that, but I would like to know your thoughts on this car if you vote in the poll. Do you like it or don't you?What do you think?

The APC stickers are on the car cause they are funding the movie. Criag himself isn't too happy with some of the things that have been done to the car, but the car has been leased by Universal for the movie, and what they want in the movie goes. So before you go bashing Craig for this do some research.......

I don't know if I'd go bashing that car just because of 1 little sticker that he is a:probably getting paid to have on that car...or b:was put on the car for the movie...the car is badass...good looks and mad power to back it up. Now, from the experiences I've had w/Craig...cant say he's my favorite person.

Craig Leiberman sucks, The Rice and the Ridiculious sucks, I can't believe they are making a second one...Way to ruin another Skyline. They made that yellow one look like *** (R33 from the first one), and they did the same with this one. It is definitly a RICERMOBILE, I don't care that it has over 500 whatever HP. It STINKS. But Super Street redeems themselves somewhat by sticking it right next to the Signal R34, and then the Hirata Engineering R33. Those two cars are completely badass. I drool over the Signal cars, they put together some insane stuff.

i LOVE the car, and yes, they went a little crazy with the NOS, but if they took that APC sticker off, it would be perfection on wheels. i didn't even see that swift, thanks for pointing that out. i am deeply disappointed, even if it is a movie car and he is gettin paid to have it on there. obviously craig has more money than he knows what to do w/ already anyway

Please read the article everyone and you will all hopefully see that car only gets its power from the nos being fed to it. Craig replaced the apex turbos for hks 2540's. Those are like tiny seashells or literally ricebowls. he would have way more power with spending money on real turbos instead of Nos...oh **** i forgot the whole basis of fast and furiouslly fukking stupid is putting nos on your cars. i wish i had nos, then i could get girls too...

They are probably in testing/production right now...I mean there is an APC sticker on a friggen Skyline for God's sake....

I'm sure APC has a desire to put out lights for a 240, I think the problem is that the taillights span the whole rear of the car, I just hope that it stays their problem. I bet that's what has been holding up a release.

well, that can't actually happen, as the lack of production numbers won't allow for it!!! But, this means as their popularity grows... the more our cars are worth to little high school kids that HAVE to get one to be cool!!!! Aaahhh the power of the media... go ahead and make another Fast and Furry with 4 more Nissans in it..... I'll laugh all the way to the bank when I decide to sell my 240 to some little ignorant s*** that is willing to pay WAY more than it's worth because he needs it to be like his buddies... and there are none left for sale around town..... ah yes.

Yeah, but then that sucks for the people who want to keep their cars, parts will be harder to find, swaps with jump through the roof, I mean look at Hondas. For 1000 bucks you can get a rotary setup. You'd have to spend at least 2k for a STOLEN DOHC vtec changeover. A JDM gs-r changeover is usually over 3k, thats more than an sr-20 setup. F&F is the worst thing that can happen to 240 owners (aside from not getting the cool engines).

in order to run 13.4 in a quarter mile, a guy i was aquainted with spend 10k on a built, turboed gsr motor. his car was not set up soley for drags, but still....how much do you have to spend to do that in an sr? 6-7k (including car price) if you install everything yourself?

Also, a positive and negative thing is the rich ricers are going to want RB26s in their new 240s after this. As much as I'd enjoy making the money.... Its almost sacreligous.

Yeah.. you're right. Swaps will be more costly as demand increases.. but it can only help the after-market in other areas. Just think how easy it will be to get those cool clear rear lights now!!! Carbon fiber dash kits will be everywhere!!! Just kidding of course. But seriously, look at how much cheaper parts are for more popular cars. Price goes down with availability and competition. If anything, it's going to make the profit margin for importers a little more narrow. It will cost more to bring in parts, and to remain price competitive the sale price will have to remain relativly low. I seriously think we're all jumping the gun a little, I'd be surprised if it gets as bad as you think. Th enumbers just wont' support it. Civics are not a fad because they are in the magazines or movies.. It's because they are cheap and easy to build.. and they ARE EVERYWHERE!! They are in the magazines because SO many people have them, and want to see them built, and advertisers know it, so they pump Honda ads up our a$$.

aww comeone peeps. APC makes some ****ty products, no argument there.But calling a R34 GTR riced out because it got 2 vinly (sp?) stickers on it is just a bit harsh. The car is still a great machine and I would love to own one or at least the engine. :icesangel

THe First F&F was way over the top but it was on e of the few car movies (main word here is MOVIE) that dealt with anything in the import market. So they made a lot o money and want to make some more, fine. After this we may even get Speedvision to show some Option 2, or Best Motoring vids instead of the card readers they got on High Rev Hondas. (don't hold your breath)

This neon glowing CRX here has the APC cataloge on it (they won't even mention the supercharger or turbo the guy has) and 24" tires with stock brakes.

WE just got these cars here in the US after years of crying and whining and offering our left nuts to the car gods. I'm just happy that they are here. I wish it was still its original color though.

okay i understand the sticker part, universal leasing the car for the movie, so they can do anything they want to it. But it was L's idea for the engine, nos which are both totally stupid. he put on smaller turbos and nossed the hell out of the engine. Sorry i would rather have an engine being destroyed because i was running 3.0 bar of boost on huge turbos. I would feel dumb if i ruined such a godlike engine running stock boost and shooting nos at every stop light because the nos was killing the engine, not the boost.only way he can get the covetted psssssht sound is by purging his nos system...sorry but that's pathetically lame.

yeah its nitrous. its called purging the system, makes that pssssht sound like a bov would, but its completely gayer in every sense. dont even know why they have to do it, or what the purpose is besides the fact that nos is gay.

i want to pull up next to a car while it purging its system and stick a lighter out the window....that will teach them.
