I have a playstation 2 and a 5in. LCD screen sitting to the side and was thinking about putting it in my car. Im going to be mounting the LCD screen in the middle of the dash below the airbag...not seen from outside the car. Then I am going to put the Playstation 2 under the drivers seat, not to be seen by anyone only accesable for a new game/dvd. And Im going to run the wires under the carpet and set the controllers under the passenger seat when not being used. I just want some of your oppinions on this. The only wire seen is going to be the one coming out of the glove box (about 1 inch of it) to the TV. Its not for show, and doesnt weigh my car down anymore, so i really dont see any problem with it.

I think it's pretty cool, you might have a bit of trouble putting the PS2 under your seat, though; i wouldn't think it could fit. Sounds pimptabulous and the ladies will jock you fo-eva homes.

Sounds cool to me, if you use it that is. Kudos for installing something in the interior that actually has a purpose (won't add hp, but should be great in bumper to bumper traffic).

I was thinking of installing a dvd unit myself. What i was going to do was relocate the temprature controls below the sterio deck and put a motorized lcd screen up there.

Just my thoughts...

To rice or not to rice, that is the question.

If it improves upon your driving (or parking, or ****ing your date) pleasure, go for it, everyone else can **** off.

Dr. SilviaMirage would be more correct, but I doubt that I'll spend the additional three years in college listening to people talking about what I could be doing.

There is a difference between research and redundant classes. The NICO forums have been invaluble to me so far, so I doubt that I will stop perusing them; whereas taking classes that will only dely progressive research is foolish.

man, thats not ricey...its all about the luxury. hehe, i have a flip out screen in my car. btw, good luck with the mounting, don't mess up :) anyways, it won't go under the seat, I PROMISE! the only place to really put ur ps2 is on the rear deck between the two speakers (i have an s14) just buy some extended audio video wires and an extension cord. no biggie, it looks fine too. I mean, unless you want to pull out your passenger air back and put it in there, that would be your only option. i have mine on the rear deck, installed clean and it looks fine. good luck...there is nothing wrong with having a tv in your car man...~Scott

besides, it gives your girlfriend somethin to do instead of nag...

The only problem with mounting the ps2 on the rear deck is that 1) im getting an upper rear strut tower bar, and 2) I dont want it to be seen....thats just an attraction for a theif. I have a custom setup for 2 10's and 2 600 watt amps in the trunk, so im thinking about mouting it in there. Any other i deas where I could mount it?

honestly man, (if u have an s14) that is the only place to put it. i tried EVERYWHERE. unless you do something majorly custom....or you could put it in ur trunk? (very inconvenient, but it'll do) just move the control plugs to the front.....~Scott

nah it aint' rice. Put it under the passenger seat it'll be easier for you to change disc or just to get a hold on it. I have my under the passenger seat and when i park my car i just move the seat back a lil more to hide the ps2. Well just think about if you really gonna use it or not, cause i took it out after a few weeks cause i dont' even use it no more.

i could take pics....it won't be for like 2 weeks though cuz my best friend will be back from school and he has his digital camera (i'm too cheap to come off it) ;) btw, this summer i'm thinking about adding a lil bit of fiberglass to my dash...i'll probably move the ps2 to where the Pass. airbag goes. it fits perfect.

Just Another240: how the HELL did u put the PS2 under your seat?? well, i have aftermarket racing seats, maybe thats why. oh well, can u slide ur seat back and forth??

Personally, I wouldn't do it, but whatever floats your boat man.....and Silvialuvr, what's with all the honda hate man? Lotta people on this site have a hard time distinguishing rice from hondas. sure like 90% of hondas are ricey, but not the same goes for all of them. Just putting my neck out here, I know I'm gonna get flamed like crazy, but there are some Hondas around here that are sick fast and you would never know it by looking at them. Nothing to laugh at. Anyone who truly appreciates cars wouldn't discredit a certain model just because of some bad apples. I've seen plenty of riced out 240's, sure as hell doesn't mean all nissans suck though.......
