Hello. My name is Ricardo, I'm 22 years old and I'm from Portugal.
I've owned a Nissan 200sx S13 for 3 years now which has been having some modifictions done to it.
Right now I'm doing an engine swap (CA18 to SR20), but it's something that I'm doing while taking my time.
I hope to have fun in this forum

Regards,
Ricardo

Howdy Ricardo. How many S13's are hanging around Portugal? Also- what part of the country are you from?
Did you dominate the AgroCrag in your youth?

Whoa agrocrag reference, happened.

Awesome, love the 200sx. Lots of info on putting an SR20 into anything. I would have kept the euro CA personally and built it for higher boost if anything broke the first time. High boosting CA18's are amazing.

Hello, I'm from Lisbon (capital). Soon as I can I'll post a few pics of my car. Right now besides the engine swap I'm fixing a few other things
There are some S13’s in Portugal (about 100), most of them have SR20 or RB25/26 engine swaps. I’m sorry but I don’t know what AgroCrag is.
As for the swap, the CA18 is a very good engine, well developed and reliable, bue the SR20 is a more modern and powerful engine, lighter and with tons of aftermarket support. It’s easier to extract horsepower out of the SR20, getting to 550hp is “easy”

Ricardo

I'd day to RB swap your car but from what I understand it's hard to get machine work done in Portugal. Might be easier for you being in the capital city. If I may ask, what do you do for work that you have the spare money? My friends in Portugal tell me the economy is very bad there now.

Yes, it doesn't come cheap, I hope one day to install a stroker kit in my engine, but this is a long term project (very loooong term ehehehe). As for the AgroCrag, now I know, actually it's more the times it controls me than I control it ahahah

RB are great engines, my favorite ones in fact, but I wouldn't swap one. I had that choice, but I don't think the S13 chassis is prepared for it, besides the car would get unbalanced. This is my way of seeing things, so I opted for the SR20.

Right now I'm finishing high school at VW Autoeuropa, the degree in question being Auto Technician. Money is tight, so I'm working my way slowly on the car and I'm buying parts little by little. I don't know when I'm finished but right now my goal is for it to be at least roadworthy and safe.

I didn't had much luck with my car since it was a bit trashed when I bought it and last year a lot of bad things happened (the turbo blew, I had a fender bender and the wiring caught fire), but I'm slowly fixing them up. And yes, the economy in Portugal is terrible, unemployment is very high and stuff is ridiculously expensive for a minimum wage of 450€. I hope to upload photos today

Ricardo
