so i got one of those fancy downpipes. 2 tubes so it is a bit thicker than the stock downpipe. but, it won't fit because of my steering column. i know that some of you guy are using aftermarket downpipes, how did you get your to fit? or is it just an issue with mine?

right now i have the stock one on. ways i have thought about getting around it is

a.) add another u-joint to my steering columnb.) use a flexible steering columnc.) sell it on ebay

i am guessing that the one i have is for RHD silvias.

RHD or not, it wouldn't matter. The front pipe connects after the turbo elbow. Either you got one that doesn't fit right, or there's something else that's causing it not to fit right. The one I got is a JDM front pipe and it fits fine.

ALL THE DOWNPIPES ARE THE SAME.... BLITZ, GREDDY, HKS, MEGAN RACING, ETC. THEY ALL FIT THE SAME WAY.

The twin chamber ones will hit the steering column on our cars, its only made for peeps in japan and whatnot that have the RHD cars. Sell it on ebay and get the regular aftermarket turbo extensions, they work fine.

If you're referring to the HKS or knock offs, you gotta hammer the hell out of it to make it fit.

Get the tried and true Greddy one.

Yea I bought the ssautocrap model and had to take a torch and hammer to it. It lasted for a while I ran ran for almost a year and then it cracked, not from me but from piss-poor quality. Right now I'm OEM but hopefully when funds are available, I'll go GReddy. Here's a pic or two of the dump pipe.

That alone should make you want to buy GReddy, look how thin that metal is!

Ive got fed up with alot of stuff on ebay lately, it can really be misleading... for example... the greddy knock off oil pan i bought was a piece of crap and wouldnt fit, yet they advertised how great it was and how effortlessly you could install it.... it's all bogus... i recomend to buy greddy, hks, or other name brand performance parts and save yourself alot of cussing...
