Ok so I've never really given it much thought before but after after seeing this pic in another thread I wanna do a rhd conversion at some point in the future. Can anybody give me any sort of info on the whole process and what all goes into it? Any info at all is a big help and very appreciated. Thanks in advance

I love those seats. There is no way I would waste the TONS of $$$$ it would have to cost for the conversion. Is it even legal?

As far as i know its legal but I'm gonna look into that more. And yea those seats are beautiful. I'm in love with the entire interior of that car. I'd love to have a rhd 350z though. As long as its not some ridiculous and outlandish price I'd think it would be worth it imo lol. But thats just me haha

I wish I knew if I was going to keep my car long enough to be worth it to spring for getting my seats done like that. They are really pretty. I usually only keep a car for 3 years and I will have had mine 2 years next month. My seats now are cloth. My car is a plain Jane.....but I love it. :yesnod

It would be very sad if you sold that car. I actually found a website the other day the does all kinds of custom leather interior packages and stuff. It was pretty neat accept for i wasn't sure if they wee making seat covers or actual upholstery to redo the seats with but they do make all kinds of stuff for a decent price. If i find the site again I'll let you know and you can decide if you wanna do it or not

It's legal, but totally overrated and not worth it.

Right turns, especially on red, take on a completely new dimension. There's a reason why we drive on he right side of the road and sit on the left side of the car. :yesnod

Thats a pretty good point badger. I've just always liked the idea if a rhd. I'd more then likely never follow through with such a daunting anyway but I still think it's pretty neat.

I was curious about this awhile back when doing my engine work. It seems like a lot of work, though. I figured they would have had just a knock out for the steering column to pass through the firewall, but it seems they use an entirely different piece of sheet metal there. So I would suspect the same for the necessary brackets and stuff under the dash. I think it could add up to a lot of cash - so probably not worth the few jokes you can play on passing motorists when your "passenger" has their feet on the dash.

As we were playing around on the weigh scales several years ago, we could tell the car was definitely designed as a RHD. I had an asian friend (of typical height and weight) sit in the passenger seat of my car, and the cross-weights came out dead nuts!!! So RHD would definitely be an advantage if you were road racing.
