What does he want to sell them for? What condition are they in?

most likely WAY too small... a vw shop i've been to a few times used to use the RHB5 in their kits for the watercooled sub-2-liter 8-valve engines.

however- it occurs to me that the non-crossflow heads vw used back then had pretty sad CFM numbers. (you'll note that an upgrade to a 2.25" catback is all they found necessary for the kit...)

so- if you really want to go nuts, the fact that the guy has more than one of them could be convenient... could be worth looking into further.
