Hey All,

I am not sure if anyone has brought this idea up. I did some searches but did not come up with any posts...

When you lock the car from the remote, you hear a clicking sound by the trunk area, and the lights flash... Is there a way to run that to a horn also? I am thinking maybe the stock horn won't go over too well- that is to GM/Ford... maybe if I can get the audible thing for when a BMW is locked or something....

I do like the silent feature- but sometimes I just forget, or can't see the lights flash, and the sound would help....

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I would check your owner's manual to make sure there's not a setting that has been adjusted to put your Q in "silent" mode. Our G has the option to set it either way, at least I think it does. On the G it just chirps the regular horn.

If you're going to wire something else in there - I would find the output that flashes your park lights - and tap in there. You will need to use a diode to isolate the alarm from the 12V pulse, so that your noise-maker doesn't sound every time you turn the lights on...

Good luck!

Heath
