rewire blinkers?

Was wondering if you guys thought it would work if I wired my cornering lights as blinkers amd kept the top corner lights just as running lights.

Cut the blinker positive and splice it into the cornering light on the lower bumper

Its a 99 I30 LIMITED leavinf the old positive wire from the cornering light taped off or capped
