Finally I have time to talk about this....

Anyway, a few months ago my car started acting funny. This happened right after I installed my half ambers and coil overs. I ran over a speed bump and then my car just stuttering down the road and stumbling under acceleration. Then the car has a hard time revving past 1500, and stops at 2500-3000.

I had a feeling it was my TPS because within a years time the car would randomly hesitate or bog at certain RPM ranges, but it was completely intermittent. I checked the TPS and here were my readings:

-Resistance @ closed throttle = 13.2 @ WOT = 5.3 (TPS unplugged)-Voltage @ closed throttle = 5.5 @ WOT = 13.4 (TPS connected)-Dropout/Glitch between 6-8v = 0.322 v

Also a few weeks before this happened, I switched batteries and the ground cable. I swapped the ground cable for a random Q45 cable I had laying around. The problem with that cable is that the middle piece wouldnt reach the battery tray, so its mounted from the intake manifold, to the strut tower, and then to (B-).

So I know my TPS is finally dead. I just want to know besides excessive usage, if a bad ground or short could have prematurely killed it. When I disconnect the MAF or TPS, the car doesnt seem to go into limp mode, and I can't rev beyond 1000.

My conclusion is a bad TPS, improper ground, and/or loose wiring.

I just need a second opinion before I go crazy and buy new parts.

Opinions? Questions? Answers?
