My SR just started doing this on my way home from work today.

Whenever I hit a big bump (speed bump, those little bumps that form at stoplights where semitrucks stop frequently at, etc), the needle on my tach will jump about 2k. I'm not hitting these very hard either.

I have a worn out TC rod bushing so it might be making the bumps a little harder on the car (at least it sounds worse). I just got the new bushings in the mail today so that problem will be fixed tomarrow... though I doubt that really has anything to do with the revs jumping.

I just replaced my clutch not two weeks ago so maybe this has something to do with it?

Also I should note that it's only the tach showing the revs jumping, the engine is not reving. It jumps up for half a second then goes back down.

I'll try to get a video of it up later tonight.
