can everyone please try and keep the Libyan people in your prayers. I have family over there and the things I'm hearing (and seeing) are horrific. The dictator has resorted to dropping bombs on his own capital to kill protesters. their shooting from helicopters, theirs snipers, theirs military assault rifles being shot at innocent people. any military soldier who refuses to kill innocent people is tied and burned alive. out of all the countries going through revolutions right now, the Libyan people are suffering the most.... I havent been able to contact my family over there. we tried to call but couldnt get through. last I heard they were in the crowds of thousands protesting against the government, I hope their not dead. may god help the people

I was able to get through to one of my cousins in Tripoli through facebook. He said he was ok and that they live a little further away from the fighting but that they still hear non-stop machine gun fire. He also said that the neighbors are all out trying to help each other against the "African fighters". Al-Jazeera is saying that theirs advertisements in Nigeria offering $2,000 US dollars a day for anyone willing to come into Libya and kill innocent people. Theirs reports of over 1,000 Mercenaries brought in to kill innocent people. The military is refusing to kill their own people so he's bring in foreign fighters.

Glad to hear that you heard from your family. Sorry to hear about everything that is going on. Sounds horrible, but of course I can't even imagine. Your family is in my thoughts brother.

Heard about an incident at an airport on the way to school. Sounds like the military and the police, siding with the People, have taken control of much of eastern Libya. Most of the pro-Gaddafi forces, it sounds like, are foreign mercenaries, which holds up with what your family is hearing. Are your family members planning to get out?

The Tunisian military is stationed at the border and are letting in anybody that comes to them. The UN is providing food, there.

all of my family (except 1 cousin) are in Tripoli (the capital) where Gaddafi and his forces are. Saw a video where the foreign mercenaries came in a large crowed and started breaking into all the houses on a street, killing who ever they could. People are no longer safe in their own homes. but it seems like hes loosing more and more power as each day goes on. so hopefuly it ends soon and their arnt many more deaths. but he threatens that he hasnt used his full force yet and some fear he still has some biological weapons he may use on the people.

Very sad indeed, lets hope that we don't rely on "God" to help us, but that we all take assertive action to help these people and right these wrongs.
