Yeah, too bad, too. I'll still probably see it on dvd, just because it's cool to see bikes and what people are doing with them in stunts for movies, even though most looks like CGI.

Kind of like how the second Matirx had suck parts, but for me the freeway scene, bike racing through traffic was top notch. Imagine if the Wachowski(sp?) bro's put together two hours of bike movie. Delicious.

Also, why do you suppose the movie was called "Torque"??

Most of the sportbikes in the movie will no doubt be the standard issue inline 4 with minimal torque output... while the less flashy, more expensive to the public Vtwin sportbikes have torque-a-plenty! Doubt we'll see too many VTR or TL bikes in the flick. I could be wrong about this, but most all sound bytes are of high-strung inline 4 engines, not throaty twin power. The masses must want the high pitch 4cyl. I'm confused on this one....?

I thought the same thing when I heard the premise of the movie. Truth be told, most sport bikes dont have a lot of torque ;) I'm sure some specially chosen focus group thought "Torque" was a great name for a movie.

what suprized me is that some hip stuffed-shirt marketing guy didn't tap into "urban trends" and mis-spell it.

Going straight to DVD this spring "TORK"

Breakdancing movie? please tell me you are kidding! The movie "Breakin" was lame even in a time when that stuff was popular. Refrigerator boxes were worth gold back then!

I believe that what really turned me off from wathcing this was the slogan in the trailer.

Quote »There is a line between realandHyper-Real.This summer, ride that line.Right off the edge.(Saliva's Click Click Boom Plays)Ice Cube.Torque.[/quote]Hyper-real? Thats the best?

actually, the line that turned me off first was "From the producer of Fast and the Furious, Triple X, and 2 Fast 2 Furious..."

funny as it is, the movie was made by the same people who made 2f2f. even funnier was the facted that they ragged on a few ricers (new gen eclipse, and rsx), then ragged on the infamous line "i live my life a quarter mile at a time".

movie wasn't worth the 9bux but, beats the hell outta watch'n a chick flick IMO
