Evening everyone.

Today I hit up WalMart in search of a headlight restoration kit. I recently bought my 94 SE-R and the moment I got it, I knew I needed to clean up these headlights. I got a 50 dollar WalMart gift card as a graduation present, so I figured "why not spend it on the car?" So I got myself the Mothers Headlight Restoration Kit. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of the box before I tore it open to start working. All you honestly need to do this is:

-Corded or cordless drill (they recommend cordless, but I couldn't find mine in that mess of a garage, so I had to use my landlord's drill)
-The kit (duh)
-Patience
-Some water
-A cup filled with said water
-A beer

So I started with these dirty bishes:

You start off by buffing with the drill bit and cleaner they provide you with in the kit. Go at a nice speed in small areas until you cover the entire light itself. First one (passenger side) should turn out like this :

This kit also came with a Severely Damaged Headlight Repair Kit, which you can determine if you need to use it after you finish buffing. If your headlight is still yellow or hasn't come out with the desired effect, use it. Trust me. It's well worth it. I used it on both lights and they turned out like so:

I am honestly loving the end result. I was a little hesitant on spending the extra few bucks on the Mothers kit compared to the 3M kit, but the WalMart I went to had this one and some other kit. I truly recommend this kit. Mothers has lived up to their name in my book. Once I get this car painted, I will definitely use more of their products to make my car look beautiful. I may buff the headlights one more time after I do my fog lights, but for the most part, I'm very satisfied with the results.

Yeah hard to see any difference.
If I had a B13, I'd get the newer Tsuru clear headlamps.

They really don't make any brighter light than the US ones. It's roughly the same difference as the 240 sealed beam vs. the triple projectors.

It's the camera really. In person, I can see a tremendous difference. My headlamps were horridly yellow.

As for the Tsuru conversion, I'm not a huge fan of it. I'd rather get a Sunny GTS front end.

Let me know if they stay clear. I used to buff the Prelude's headlights bi-monthly, because they crapped up so quickly. After a while, I decided to try and clear coat them after wetsanding/buffing. Its been ~2 years and they haven't fogged back up yet. Did the same treatment to my miata this winter with even better results.

just FYI you can get the same results or better with some rubbing compound, polishing compound, wax, and a buffer.

But I guess if you dont have a buffer, this works
