Well I tested, Drove and studied the Cadillac CTS, Audi A4, Lexus IS300, VW Passat, Nissan Maxima and Altima, Merc C240, Lincoln LS, and the G 35... Ibought the G 35 Best for the money!
Overall I am very please with my new ride. It's fast, it corners like it is on rails, rides nice, looks great, and did not break the budget. So here is the scoop!Bought it with 2400 miles from Indy dealer for $31,950Blue with the Willow interiorHas the Bose upgrade with 6 disk indash cdDealer installed rear spoilerStandard Luxury suspension
The automatic is very smooth. Acceleration is great 0-60 in 6 seconds. But as a daily driver I don't think I could tell if it was 0-60 in 6.3 seconds or 0-60 in 5.8 seconds... it's fast. There are a few real nice tight bends on my way to work. The speed limit says 20mph. NO more like 40mph and no tire squeel. As compaired to the 98 ponitac grandprix could only do 27mph with lots of body roll and tires screaming all the way. The G 35 comes with the VDC which is like the ultimate in traction control. I guess it is pretty nice. Helps keep the car stable. The good thing is that it can be turned off. The car gets a bit more fun with it off. This thing can certainly get a guy in trouble with the law if he/she is not careful. The interior is good. The leather is very nice and soft. The dash... Cool tilt that moves the instrument cluster with the wheel. Some have had problems with the Amber color of the instrument cluster... I like it, it's different. There is plenty of room in the front bucket seats. They hug you like your in an F1 car but look and feel like a Q45. The back is a little short on leg room. It's about 2 inches less than my Grandprix which seemed a little tight. The head room is very good front and back. (Mine has the Sun roof) As for the climate control and stereo console and such. The radio is a bit backwards, with the power and volume control on the left hand side. However that becomes a mute point when you use the redundant controls on the stearing wheel. The entire range of controls for the radio is done all on the left hand. It has taken some getting use to but I like it now. I do wish that the car had more internal storage, you know nucks and crannies. I wish that the power plug stayed on even when the car is off. The problem here is that the cell phone can be left on and loose it's charge if you do not shut it off.Trunk space is good as long as two of your buddies don't have their clubs with them.I like the analog clock and the compass. I know that it's not "Sporty" but I do like a little luxury in my Sports Luxury Sedan.
Over all great car, Best for the money and did I mention... it's fast too.
Thanks everyone Blue35:ylsuper
