No idea. My clutch didn't get warrantied... long story.... had to buy a new disc and hope the pp is still good.

Anyways, this next payday i'll be paying my PayPal invoice to this fella', and getting a daughterboard, and set of chips.

Only does me/us any good if the car is rolling/driveable, right?

So I got my clutch 'issue' taken care of and took the car around the block last night. Hopefully 'Drape' is lurking in here still.I'll be sending PayPal payment sometime this weekend, or at the latest Monday. Gonna put this stuff to the test!

Ok, well damn... Where did all the interest go on this? I guess they're waiting for S13xCrazy's review. But anyways, ordered/paid for a daughterboard/chip setup today. Hopefully it comes by the end of the week.

And if by any chance that MaxType240 is reading this, we need to setup another DynoDay to check this puppy out..

Sorry i havn't gotten a review up.

I actually ran into a sweet deal on a 240 vert (550 bucks) and my work slowed down.

So my piping money is no where to be found right now.

So I'm just waiting and putting it on my vert .

so my project is held back a little bit.

Ok, so I got the board and chip set in today. Gotta head to my other job, but I expect to have this thing in by the end of the night and running. Everything came in just as S13xCrazy stated. The only thing that it didn't come with was any instructions. Not like it's that hard, but I'm gonna have to refer to the website. I don't have a printer, so I'll have to come in and out of the house... oh well.

I'll update as soon as I can!

Edit: Just wanted to let you guys know, I paid Monday. And received everything today. (Thursday) Not bad for him being in CA and me being just outside Boston, MA.

are you a pretty good solderer? because thats basically the only install you need, personally i suck at it so I'm going to bring mine to a TV shop to have them do it.

meh..i dont understand why you'd pay $125 for it..when you can do it all at home for less.

then again, its simple and its much more economical versus an enthalpy or jwt tune.

i've got a few rips of tunes and stuff that were on the eccs.hybrid.ka..

still, let us know how it goes..i'd like to see what happens as far as tune/power gained goes.

I think you answered your own question.

Besides, after buying the daughterboard and chips.... I would then have to buy a burner. Not sure exactly what to get, as every time I asked on the hybrid ka forum, they wouldn't help me. Not to mention I have no idea what the values or any of that stuff stands for as far as tuning goes.

This is a lot easier for the average enthusiast with a few bolt-ons to just pop it in and go. Kinda like the JWT or Enthalpy ECU. Just plug it in and go. Granted, this is a little bit more 'DIY', but has the same effect.

My Thoughts on the Tune

The car idles great. In between 14.8-15.4 AFR's and sometimes a bit leaner. Cruising AFR's are about the same. Wide Open Throttle under boost is about 12.0-12.8 AFR's. This is all with the SAFC +-0 all across the board.Understanding that these are a bit lean, I started looking around to see why it was a bit lean all around.. I was running my Fuel Pressure at idle, at about 32 psi. Which is kinda low. I had it that low to help try and control the 740cc injectors I have. So after bumping up the Fuel Pressure at idle, the Idle AFR's came down a bit. I've not had a chance to drive it, but I will be checking it out again today and reporting back. I'm not sure about the timing as of yet. I'll crank up the boost, and see if it detonates on pump gas.. Not the best idea, I know. But hopefully I can get MaxType240's consult cable and see exactly what/where the timing is on a few street pulls.

In conclusion, I think this thing is working out great so far. Plug and Play compatibility is definitely spot on. I don't think I'll have to adjust much with the SAFC, I hope... But installation was a breeze and honestly not that hard. I didn't have a Solder Sucker, or any other sort of De-Soldering tool. I just heated up the solder, and blew it out with my compressor. Made a mess, but it worked good.

Any questions, fire away. I'll update today after I drive around a bit.

Tune's been holding up good! I turned up the boost to about 14psi, and I don't redline it often because the turbo runs out of poop.. But I'm running pump gas, and not one hint of detonation or knock. This is what I sent him to tune for.

-Fully built KA24DE from top to bottom.-Ported Polished head. Stock Cams.-8.6 : 1 Compression.-GT28RS turbo with .86 Hotside.-Front mount intercooler.-740cc Deatschwerks injectors.-Adjustable Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator.-Walbro 255 LPH high pressure fuel pump.-And the N62 Nissan 300ZX Mass Air Flow Meter.-Running about 12psi.

Right now I'm re-doing my intake/suction pipe because the coupler runs close to the header and it's melted beyond use. I'm gonna get it tigged hopefully this weekend. But It's been running awesome before I garaged it the other day.

I'll update when I get some more feedback. Any questions, just ask.

And 'drape123' (Jason), feel free to send me one of those Consult Cables! Maybe we can get some feedback on that for the community.

Have you used it in conjunction with your tuned ECU yet?And have you figured out if you can turn off that CEL with it?

I just ordered an ecu from e-mance. I just wanted to say that drape123 answered several questions BEFORE I even bought from him. He was extremely helpful with all my questions before and after the sale. I have not gotten my set up installed yet but when I do, I'll post with results.Totally stock to t-25 with 550cc's. Don't have access to a dyno but I'll give feedback on how it feels. I read a few reviews on kat.org and all were good.

I'm still waiting on a few parts before I can install my set up. This is my daily and my alternate is a f-250 that gets @ 12 mpg so I want to get this done as quick as possible, but I should be starting in a few days so stay tuned...

drape123, would you sell just the daughter boards?

or maybe... would you tell us who supplies you with your daughter boards

dboard's are the only thing I can't find to do this on my own.

I don't think you could do me a chip without doing a dino run. I have s13 sr20de, which I am about to add 740cc's, gt28r, n60 mafs, fmic, etc. and run 104/105oct. unleaded...... which is more like a turbo'ed se-r with redtop o2+other sensors......have you done se-r's before?

I wouldn't do that. Sure he's nice til he has your money.

2 years ago we all thought he was the new great tuner.

We soon found out he was the new great scam artist.

zerothread?id=371858

My personal experience with him. No I never got my money back.

i bought the whole ecu setup from him, my bikirom failed right when i went turbo. i needed another ecu coz i was shipping biki board and ecu to australia. i was skeptical at first, but i said screw it.. and jumped on it. at first, i had issues, running rich, fuel dumping. i contacted him and he said it should be all fine. very quick and prompt replies, even saved me from buying a sh**y adjustable fpr. so i looked at the setup and it was my fault, i told him i had 550 subaru injectors, but actually had 610cc subaru injectors. gave me a break on the retune, half off. my mistake, then i ran into the same rich problem. and i doubted his tuning, but then i realized i had fouled my plugs and my ignition timing was whack. changed plugs, adjusted idle, adjusted timing and BAM!!! it purrs like a kitten. readings are very consistent to his advertisement. 14.7ish idle, and cruise, high 10s and low 11s on full boost. before jumping here and bad mouthing him, i had to rule out all my errors. car runs great, running a t25 ka24de z32 maf, 610cc injector, ssqv open. this is my backup ecu as i wrench on my new bikirom board. i will definitely use him again, and recommend. he has responded to my other questions too and has been prompt and quick in all his replies.
