Hey all, those who are familiar with my previous projects (rebuilt 16" BBS rims, 200hp na KA24DE) may not be surprised that I'm looking to go a less conventional route. I currently have coilovers that I don't care for. I'm looking to revert to springs and struts again. So I need to figure out what I'll need to revert back to stock, essentially. I don't have any of the parts from the original suspension after converting to coilovers so the easiest thing to do, I suppose, would be to buy the stock assembly off someone who's converting to coils. If I cannot find a reasonably priced option for that, can NICO help me piece together my needs based on parts?
So far I have Eibach Sportlines that I feel will give me the better ride/handling compromise (which I had prior to coils). I'll be getting some KYB AGX to support these. I also picked up some cheap camber plates front and the matching rear mounts (can I still use these instead of the stock rubber mounts?). I will obviously need new spring top hats- what else will I need? I have lots of calendar time to do this since recent money setbacks have ensured that the car will stay in storage through next winter :frown:

You'll need the struts, springs, the nuts that hold the top hats on, dust boots, and top hats. It's not hard to convert it back. I tried running camber plates on my old AGXs, but ran into an issue with the plates lacking a spring perch. If you can separate the mount/bearing of the stock assembly, you should be able to use that spring perch with the camber plate.

I did the same exact thing! Megan Streets to stock struts/Tien S. Techs.

From what I gathered, the Sportlines lowered more but the S. Techs handled better.

I'll be going with AGX's as well at some point, the stock spring/strut setup I bought had fully functioning struts so I used them..

FYI - I had found my full set of spring/struts for $50 locally, and it seems like the average price in my area (Houston).

I previously had Sportlines and AGXs and rather enjoyed the ride. Something to be said for "try before you buy (or modify)".
I'll be checking for local sellers, but I know there are a quite a few that have long been riding on coils.

I have a stock set of rear springs and top hats on KYB GR-2s if you want them. They came off my 93 hatch.
