Reversed Distributor

Well i got my engine finaly in my car and all ready to go, and it wouldnt fire. I had to leave so the guy helping me worked on it somemore the next day, he checked the firing order and thought it was off so he switched 2,3 around, and they started firing, but 1,4 did not. he dosent think that 1,4 could be backward either. is it posable to revers the distributor?? he is going to try switching them around. what else could it be?? he think vavle ajustments on 1,4 are off, or that the 1,4 injectors are not working. but I dont know, wasnt there when he fired it up. I really am starting to dislike to my car.

If he switched 2 and 3 and it started running on two cylinders then most likely the distributor is off 180. Just go ahead and switch 1 and 4 and see if it takes care of your problem.

Yeah thats what i did today, and you know what, my car lives!!!! I am so happy, and even though i cant get on it yet, there is defenetly more power there.
