First off, can someone please post a pic of your fuse diagram? I lost mine years ago. Its the fuse diagram under your steering wheel. I have a 2008 3.5SE if it makes a difference.

Second, has anyone installed an aftermarket stereo that has the "reverse" wire for a backup camera, and if so where did you attach the wire? I am assuming the fuse for the reverse light. The one that comes off of my JVC is only long enough to reach the front doors. And I can't get power from the reverse lights in the tail.

there wont be a fuse for reversing lights solely. you need a wiring diagram.

you can host pics here https://imgbb.com/ and just link the pic.

so i was thinking to use the wires from the gear shift itself... but was not sure since the actual trigger is on the engine... so your saying i need to remove the center console to get to the orange and p wire?

I still need a pic of the fuses regardless if anyone can plz.

I just confirmed there are no two wires that go from gear shifter under center console to reverse switch. The actual Back-up lamp switch is connected to a plug on the transaxle case. Just need to narrow where that is and id the wire colors.

OK, so I figured it out and this is confirmation. This should be for every Altima Coupe. The original signal for the reverse light comes from the "Back-up lamp Switch" which is located on the "Transaxle Case". This is a plug with two wires that is located under the battery area on the transmission/engine. There are two wires, an orange wire which is the 12v power to the switch, and a pink with black stripe wire which is the 12v our from the switch once the reverse gear in on. I could not isolate the wire under the dash and it was too difficult to deal with, so it was easier for me to just tap into the pink/black wire from the engine and run a new wire through the firewall. I did this and its perfect. Look in the Field Service Manual "Transaxle & Transmission" for a pic of where it is. just know its about under the battery area. I had to cut one of the zip tie attachments to get slack from the wires.
