OK, so I figured it out and this is confirmation. This should be for every Altima Coupe. The original signal for the reverse light comes from the "Back-up lamp Switch" which is located on the "Transaxle Case". This is a plug with two wires that is located under the battery area on the transmission/engine. There are two wires, an orange wire which is the 12v power to the switch, and a pink with black stripe wire which is the 12v our from the switch once the reverse gear in on. I could not isolate the wire under the dash and it was too difficult to deal with, so it was easier for me to just tap into the pink/black wire from the engine and run a new wire through the firewall. I did this and its perfect. Look in the Field Service Manual "Transaxle & Transmission" for a pic of where it is. just know its about under the battery area. I had to cut one of the zip tie attachments to get slack from the wires.
