Reverse lights don't work.

Ever since I completed my swap my reverse lights have not worked. My sr came with an auto so I had to use my KA 5spd/w SR bellhousing. When I hooked up all the plugs to the transmission i noticed that I have a spare plug that has nothing to plug in to...I leave it and see that my reverse lights don't work. I took the vacant plug and replaced it with the plug that it would fit in...still no reverse lights. Its been like this for 8 months or so...hehe I've learned to deal with it but it would be nice to have them back some day.

The extra plug is from the main harness, not on the trans??if so what color are the wires going to it. I have a s-14 sr service manual stored on my computer. perhaps I could look it up for you and tell you what it goes to? as long as its about the same year.

My reverse lights don't work either. I have heard that you have to switch the pins on the reverse gear sensor in order to get proper continuity. If I don't go snowboarding tomorrow I will get a chance to figure it all out and I will let you know how to fix it.

i believe the wires on the harness plug are green/blue and green/white. the circuit is polarized, so you don't have to worry about which wire goes to what wire. quickest way to check if you have the right wires though is to touch them together and see if your rev lights come on. all you're doing is completing a circuit
