Reverse light removal help

Anyone know how to remove the reverse light, I’ve been having trouble with it and all the manual says is to stick a flat head in it but I want to have some outside opinion on how to do it because I don’t want to break it.

just slip a small flat head screwdriver into each side of the light cover slightly and angle it to pull the light cover out....a little bit on each side...it will slowly come out
