Reverse Just Stop working

I have a 1990 with a automatic transmission. All of a sudden my reverse stopped working. I got my car towed back from the paint shop about 2 hours away, on a car dolly today, and when i went to put in reverse nothing. No grinding, or hard shifting when going forward, so i figured it was just low and added a quart and still no revers. If i blew my trans would i even be able to drive? Thinking about dropping the pan and adding new fluid and filter. Any help would be nice. Thank

your transmission is Fubar. i had a jeep that would go straight all the way into fifth gear but reverse... nuttin....get a manual transmission and spend 500 extra on the kit. do yourself a favorbut anyhow ur transmission is done.

yea thats what i figured, still going to drop the pan and put new fluid in it to see how it acts. As far as the swap all i need is a clutch, master and slave cylinder before i can start to bang gears.

ok, do your reverse lights turn on? sounds stupid but maybe the gear selector isn't working or the tcu isnt getting a reverse signal or w/e
