I was wondering if the backup/reverse light lens in the trunk lid will interchange between a 2008-2010 M35 and the 2006.

are you referring to the whole reverse light assembly? If so it should, there wasn't much change to that from what I believe besides going from a circle white interior lens to a more slanted white lens, but the assembly should fit

No, the reverse light assemblies do NOT interchange between 06-07 and 08-10 cars. Finisher panel is completely different on the trunk as well as the chrome trim and the reverse lights.
