Ok I have been searching and havent found anything close to my problem so here goes. I have a 91 240 and it will rev to about 6k at about 1/4 throttle if I go any more throttle it bogs down especially @ WOT.Now let me tell you what I have replaced. The Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, MAF, Cap, Rotor, Plugs(twice), O2 sensor Plug Wires, and I took the cat completely out, and I have changed and set the throttle position sensor and set it to .5 volts. and last but not least the fuel pressure regulator.... I am @ a complete loss.... I have also put the ecu into diagnostic mode and I am getting no codes... the CEL comes on when I turn the key to the on position as it should and then goes off and never comes back on. The ECU doesnt even have a light come on when in diagnostic mode which I thought was strange... maybe the ECU??

It may be too late but my net access is limited to time, The problem I found was the fuel tank! I pulled my pump out to inspect it and put my hand in the tank to find about 1/4" thick sludge! Pulled the fuel filter and it was dripping brown nasty "crap" like sludge. But something great came out of it... I found an 89 hatch that has been sitting for a year with front end damage for $400.00 so me and a friend purchased the car and swapped the tanks, car runs GREAT and we now have a brand new project car! Thanks for the help.
