The previous owner owner of my 300zx took the rev limiter off and I'd like to put it back on but I'm not sure how. Can anyone help me?

The rev limiter feature is part of the computer code used by the ECU. To remove it, he must have had the eprom chip re-flashed or he put in an aftermarket chip. How come you want it put back?

So that you dont accidentaly rev the nuts off the VG, even though these engines are very rev-happy, taking one over 8k without balancing and building the engine/valvetrain will result in valve float and a very big heavy expensive paperweight.

Good point! I still have a stock ecu & eprom chip in my 90 NA (its auto) and I swear it will redline if I floor it before actually shifting into 2nd. Plus the PO didn't like changing the trans fluid often enough..
