I've been doing some routine fluid changes and maintenance. While changing the coolant, and getting the engine warmed up, I noticed that the engine refused to rev past ~3800 rpm. Is it limited while in park, or do I have a problem? Maybe they limit it so that the engine is never spinning too fast without a load on it? I've definitely noticed issues with gear changes and acceleration in the higher rev ranges. Related? -Nick

if it was in limp mode, wouldn't it be in third gear all the time while in drive? I'm definitely thinking there's something wrong. It's like there's a wall at 4000 rpm
