Rev Limiter

I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this. I have the G37S 6MT.

My car has about 3,800 miles on it and I have found that when I go a little way into the redline area (around 8,000 RPM) the power just disappears and it feels like it has shifted into neutral. When I change to the next gear it is fine. I don't do it often but it seems to happen everytime I do. I have read some postings about a rev limited when breaking the car in but no one has ever commented on this. Is it normal?

the limit is 7500 but im sure you can take it to about 7900 but then theres a fuel cut off so that is what your probably feeling

eXACTLY... the car wont let you go too fast until it decides to cut you up, I wouldn't push it past the red line much tho because it's not too good for the car, be safe.
