Hmmmm, no response I hear these engines have a speed sensor, but I am using the S12 transmission with the s12 mech. speedo cable....so I don't think it would be that.Boost cut? Rev Limit?

Yeah, I forget where the stock rev limiter is. I thought it was 7500, but it could be seven. In any rate its gloriously low so you can bounce off it all week at autocrosses and whatnot.

Cool.....I think it was higher, probably 7200ish.......I was going off of my factory tach, which is a about 200 rpms or so less than what my s-afc2 says.

7200 sounds right to me. Did it cut off completely or just do the rev limit deal?

The tach signal from the stock ecu blows. My EDIS system has my factory tach deadly accurate and I love every minute of it. Come to think of it, I'm gonna go tune the bastard for some more timing and this gloriously low ambient temperature.

I dunno, kinda scared me.....I let off right after, and exited. Engine never actually shut off.....felt like the speed limiter in my maxima.....kinda shuts down for a sec.

is it only in fifth gear or something? I managed to hit 8500 once in my pulsar (maybe why my bearings copped out) and I never got hit by a limiter?

Did you look at the boost gauge? That much load on the motor could have caused some boost creep with the turbo and you might have the MAFS cut.

It felt like it hit a wall......as soon as it happened I let off, and everything was fine. I don't know how fast I was......my speedo tops out at 125 .I didn't get a chance to look at the boost gauge.....but recently with the cold weather I have noticed some creep.....16psi or so. I need to turn it down a notch I guess for winter and get a real boost controller

holy poop, I just realized how fast 7000 is for my car. FWD ca have 4.441 final drive, so at 5K I'm doing 100mph and 6K is 120 and I ASSUME 7K is 140mph.... so um, yeah. Thats fast without a doubt.
