how do i disengage the REV LIMITER not the SPEED LIMITER?

im sorry man, but i dont understand any reasoning behind this, do you want to take the car to 9000rpm's or something?

the speed limmiter on the 240's is a theretical Rev limmiter that is taken off of the transmission to govern top speed of the car.

so what are you trying to achive here?

ya ive never gotten mine up that high but id have to say on my sohc it wont go much past the speed limiter before redline if it isnt at redline already. im not sure what the rev limited speed is, now i want to look into it.

thats completely incorrect. the speed limiter is at about 115mph, but the rev limiter wouldnt hit until about 163mph.

gear limitations and the computer set limit are far apart.

it sure doesnt feel that way, but i suppose

cruising on the highway at ~70 mph im at probably 3200-3300rpm, that leaves ~3000 rpms to redline to get another almost 100mph? i suppose but it really doesnt feel that way. and before you question the redline as 7000rpm remember i have a sohc it gets the little dashed red marks on the tach at 6000 and redlines at 6500.

the sohc isnt worth a crap after 6k rpms anyways and would have a hard time pulling that high in 5th gear. I believe the sohc speed limiter is at about 5k rpms giving you about 1500 more to go but there aint no power up there to be had...............

I take mine to both limits quite often and it takes a little bit to get to the speed limit but it revs to the revlimiter easily athough like I said it diesnt make much power past 5k

well, i hav esome mods in the fture like cams and stuff so i can take it higher, besides my buddies stock ka24de revs to like 7200 rpms thats why i want to get mines ready, so is there a way to rev it up higher?
