rev limiter has mind of it's own

my rev limiter now hits at like 5500rpm's when it shouldn't be till at least 7200. i just had the transmission re-built and about a week later i finally gave her hell. to my surprise i can no longer play in the upper rpm range. i asked the transmission guy about it, he said it might be a fluid level problem. idk. if you have any ideas please feel free to share them with me. thanks

remove ur 5th gear sensor, its prolly burnt out

but it will fix it ASAP

but it does it in every gear. and only since i got it back from aamco

mechanic could of ****ed it upor it just could have been coincidenceits no big dealsame thing happened when i got my clutch done

Hey, on this topic that I've been silently following..

I'm not having any problems with revving, but I wanna yank that rev limiter anyway. How do I do it?

Is it one of the wires coming out of the transmission, just behind the clutch slave cylinder? If so, which one?

1 believe there in order1 being closest to the cylinder5th being furthest5th is the 5th gear sens, i belive 4th also does speed, so u wont have a speed goven

And to remove those sensors, what do you do?

Cut the wires? Or is there a less janky way to do it?
