Alright, so ive been doing some research on the bullydog gt and have noticed that when people use it, all they are generally doing is taking the governer off, setting the rev limiter and advancing their time +2. now my question is, can a dealership do all this with the consult III? I know most dealerships will say no but you know their always gonna be a tech their that will if you just go to them directly and not through service. Has anybody tried this from a dealership? Cause I know people that have gone to dealerships before and talked to techs and got them to advance their timing for them for like 40 bucks. which is a whole lot cheaper than a damn bully dog for 400. So all in all, would this be the best thing to do if thats all the bully dog does?

yes you can do this with consult. very likely that $40 is "on the side" or at least not documented that they did it.

Ok awesome. It doesn't bother me that it woul be on the side and not documented. Just to be able to get it done without lashing out 400 for the bully dog ya know. Thanks bro. Just gotta find someone to do it now haha

Yeah, it does more plus it has a nifty display to keep track of things.

Find a cheaper older PowerPup from BullyDog. It's the same tune, same features minus the fancy display. Plus if you want to change anything in the future (putting timing to stock, rev limiter etc) you can do it yourself. Also, I doubt the dealship with change the rev limit and the 3.5 isn't meant to rev any higher without internal mods from what it's set at stock. KABOOM.
