REV indicator dash light

Can someone tell me what the REV light is on my dash? It always stays on, is this normal? Owners manual doesnt even have a referance to this light.

It will always stay on...yes it is completely normal. Basically...it's a shift light that you can adjust

You say this light is adjustable? I have taken engine to 7400rpm and light never went out. is it supposed to tell you when to shift? Thanks for your quick response. I just got my G a few weeks ago and Im still learning,was driving a Lexus IS300 manual. G is a lot more fun!! These forums are great.

Yup..a lil red light should flash to tell you to shift. It is possible that it's set at like 8000RpMs. Cycle through your "trip odometer" (or reset button) if you see one that says 8000 that's the one you'll need to adjust. I keep mine at about 6500.
