Picked up Quella today after being seperated for 8 days...Here's what she got: Tension rod, front upper links, both engine mounts, driveshaft assembly. Total cost: $2,019.22.

Picked up all 3 engine belts, a set of rear pads, my new Tokico Blue rear shocks, a fog light bulb and a turn signal bulb for a little DIY action next weekend.

Didn't think it was possible that she could ride any smoother, but man, is it nice.

Celebrated our reunion by smacking around some poor sap in a TL Type-S with dealer plates on the US60. Passed him on the right on the on-ramp (not nice of me:D), then I let him catch up, and gave him the "no-no" sign when he did.

He tried like hell to pass the old girl, but she dropped into 2nd, put her big butt in his face and showed him why she's the only girl for me.:ylsuper

Would someone look at this offer for extended warranties and tell if these are good offers.

Mind you, my car is a 1991 Q45a with over 100k miles on it. Due to the age of the car and mileage, my pickings were very slim.

Hitman... that's the true test of the Q. When you get it back after several days or weeks of a nice loaner or even a "good" rental car and you decide you wouldn't want to be driving anything else. Something about the exhaust pitch at WOT always sounds good to me that I don't notice after I'm driving it for a while :)

One of the sales guys at Scottsdale asked me, "What's the big attraction with the old (90-95) Q's anyway?"

He didn't have time to go for a ride, but I fully intend to take him for a spin next week when i go test drive the M and the FX.

QShip - If they'll cover your Q, you'll probably have to go for an inspection. If it passes, you'll be issued the warranty - I'd go for the longest offered. Make sure you schmooze the inspector and have some cash on hand. The coverages look very similar to what I have. Call the dealer and ask if they've had any experience with these warranty companies, they know which ones give them a hassle and which ones are good to work with.

The only problem I foresee, is they have the option to decline on blue book. If th car books at $4K and your transmission goes, they decline repair. Likewise, if you have a claim for $2K this month and another claim for $2K next month (easy to do with a Q) then they may decline as well. I'm racking it up pretty rapidly as I'm at over $6K in repairs on my warranty in the first year. I have 25K miles or 2 years remaining... Go, transmission!

You might be better off selling the 91 and taking that $$$ towards a 95, then get the warranty (3yrs/40K) for $1600... Or put the $1600 into repairs and maintenance.

Thanks for the info AZ.

I'll skip the warranty and put the money into getting the car back to factory specs.

I really like the car. She was one of the 91 models that was made in the first 16 months of production. That means she performs like a 1990 Q.
