I have a problem with my ka-t that I would like some help. When you have the oil cap unscrewed and you start the car I get exacly what is in these pictures from this link. zerothread?id=140446. But when you put the oil cap back on I get my return line backing up and bubbling oil back out even if I dont have the oil sending line going to the return line any more. I also get the sending line just leaks the oil to the side's and all over the oil return line. were as with the oil cap off it looks and flows just like in the picture in the other thread. Any help would be great, I'm out of Idea's.

Thank YouCorbitt

Honestly I wouldnt worry too much about what is going on without the turbo in place...

With your oil cap on, your PCV can not keep up with the blow by that is getting past your rings.. this presurizes the crank case... if it has no other place to go, its coming out the return line... Check your PCV and make sure its working well.... If it is and you dont feel there is TOO much blow by, then put your turbo on...

You can also help keep the oil from pushing up the return line by putting a half quart less oil in your motor...

Sorry I forgot to mention that I just replaced my pcv valve and all of the line that went to it into the intake runners. I'm just a little concerened because I have blown 2 different turbo's oil seals and I just got a new turbo in to day.

I just dont understand why I would have great and perfect oil flow when the cap is off but when I put the cap back on it seems that I get a real uneven flow and it is all over the place and not constant like it is in the link. I'm also running the oil level about half way on the dip stick mark or so.

Your motor might have some issues... excessive blow by would pressurize the crank case... This is what blows the oil up the return line... When the oil cap is off the motor, there is an escape route for the blow by and it wont find its way up the return line...

What he said ^^^. Also, do you have a flow restrictor in the feed line? Where is your bung and what size is your return line?

I don't think my return line could ever fill with oil on account of it's size. Unless the bung was far down on the pan. The proper bung position is above the level of oil in the pan so oil could not flow up it. Did you put your bung down low?
