Retrofitting Factory Cruise control

So I have decided to rehabilitate our trusty 2003 Pathfinder SE to be used for long road trips to Oman (I am based in Dubai) and tackle some off-road/mountain roads. So far I have done the following : Rebuild gearbox , fix differential and oil pump leaks , treat rust on 2 doors (near mirror).

Now that I have fixed the main issues I want to do some upgrades and retrofitting cruise control is on the top of my list. From what I gathered ;the R50 comes with Factory CC since 2001 , however my car is not equipped with it.

Appreciate some guidance , I can find the switch on eBay , I am wondering of there is any catch and what coding it would involve to activate it if possible ?
