Hi all
I have a question, have anyone tried to retrofit a mini hid projector into an angled fog lamp (Nissan / infiniti m models)?
I am trying to upgrade the fogs on my 2006 infiniti m35x with a nice hid projector that has a nice cutoff that matches my xenon low beams.
Thanks
Moe.

Interesting. I've wanted to put headlight bulbs into my fog lights for a brighter, second set of 'eyes' on the backroads during late night runs. I wonder about heat, being such a small light housing, but they do have a vent hose, maybe for such reasons. I still haven't gotten around to it and certainly hadn't thought of putting large assemblies or ballast in and around there.

When thinking of HID retrofit, I think of the Honda S2000 units often used. So I searched that today and found this manufacturers site. Maybe they have some solutions for your wants.

Do you drive a lot in inclement weather or unlit back roads?

I've never seen anyone here do a projector.. most just do PNP HID. Are you thinking Morimoto Matchbox? That's the smallest I've seen I think.

Why not just go with Morimoto xB's instead of doing the retrofit yourself?

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I thought of the morimoto upgrade but they are a bit pricey for the quality and light output, thats why i thought of retrofitting a projector into my foglamps. but mostly likely i am going with just upgrading to LEDs (H11). They should be bright enough, i found a nice JDM Astar set leds (Philips ZES Lumileds LED chips) which are extremely bright.
