Retro-fitting coil-pack dist-less ign sys into a 90's KA24DE

I have a 1992 Ford Explorer with this setup, seems to be a far superior arrangement of having individual coils for each cylinder in a common coil pack perched over the LH valve cover. The 240SX is a 1991, and I'd like to pull the old distributor, leaving the CASensor to feed info for firing the coil pack. Has this been done, and I just missed it? I'm sure that later model KA24DE wielding models had some design using the coil-pack technique, but I don't know where to start looking.
