It looks like the time has come for me to put the Z away. I have a 1990 NA Z32 and I lent it to a younger (19) friend last friday for the night for an "end of school" date. The next morning he called me and told me it was sputtering on the highway and when he got it to a parking lot it died. When I looked at it the engine bay and hood were full of what looks like oil residue. When I turned the key I hear the starter click and nothing else happens; just silence. I did notice there were lots of tire marks all over the empty parking lot.
Just joking. My Z still runs like a top and I dont have any friends. But I am retiring it to save gas and prevent the possibility of a future accident. The JDM engine has 110K but the body has 230K and its time to let her rest. I also cant afford replacement parts. What procedures to I do to keep a Z in cold storage?
