Hum..What you want me to spell the whole thing out .Why.I cant tell others what to think.they shouldnt take my word for crap.My Army buddies went to afganistan anjd do multipul tours.They went to get a job and get out of gangs caiuse we barried abouyt a dozen so far in the ground.now thier back double strapped everywhere they go.They were only single strapped before.Id pray they have normal kids and not be all deform3ed like the kids from my generqation in the 60's were deformed people were everywhgere.Why do we spread D.u. over everthing poisening our own?I dont think its to cool.the army could give a flying crap about our kids.proof,is in the pudding as far a im concerned.Only lagit war ive none that my family was is the civil war.Yankees suck!ll i got to say on it is we are being played for elite b.s. and propaganda and our famlies pay.every generatioon in my family had been torn apart andf poisened by war.F the lala i say.im so glad they wouldnt take me when i couldnt get a job and had to beg!!So documentray are off limits huh.just like pilger,banned in america.gimmi a break.you dont telol me what i say.just dont work that way.sorry hitm an,dont mean nop disrespect for ya.!

what really hurts me is these kids i know that go to afganistan parents had to denounce thier religeon and claim christianity or be left on the tarmack in cambodia.Some nice people we are.bomb them then send in the priest to save them.gimmi a break!Their father's work for boieng to,making the planes that bombed them,cute! We live in disneyland.

And Pilger doesnt give oopinion,hes the world top juornalist i woould emagine.All of his dopcumenaries are banned from our t.v.'s.One time they showed aone of his documentaries here at 1am,nobody even watched it,yet he won the prize.!Anyone that call's pilger a opinion freak needs to do more homework.Im not here to do others homework!

Diamond, you know I've always given you the benefit of the doubt as a respected member of the site, especially gievn your background and challenges.

But that second post is pretty random and nearly impossible to follow, even for a well-educated, relatively smart person.

Maybe sticking to one point would be a better plan...

To (hopefully) get this thread back on track: I'm (very recently) a parent of a U.S. Soldier, and I'm neither deluded or confused. I respect his choice, and I respect our efforts abroad.

You live in a delusional world. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were there to create a war of attrition for the Jihadists and to entice them to attack well-armed and prepared soldiers rather than US civilians. That goal has been done well, and to that I say, task accomplished.

As a second bonus we've managed to uproot a dictator that has gassed his own people, and a regime that supported and directly involved itself with one of the biggest terrorlst groups in the world.

The wars have since gone political, especially with Obama in the mix.

Ask your buddies in the war, they'll tell you the most invaluable asset on the field is a JAG.

If you want f***ed up, then look at how we are conducting the war with one hand behind our back because of the political pressure from Washington.

Medivacs are hard to get, and when the choppers come in, they won't enter a hot LZ, and they won't leave the LZ when you've made contact with the enemy. Several of our soldiers have died waiting on a medivac chopper, or waiting for extraction; bleeding to death from wounds that could have been dealt with in a field hospital.

The officers are more concerned with legal matters than getting the job done, and the JAGs are there to screw anyone on the ground at a flick of a wrist to save the officers.

The entire place is f***ed up. They need to let the military do it's job, but that won't let Nanci Pelosi feel happy about her morning coffee.
