I will start with who I am. I am a soldier in the Army, I am currently finishing my second deployment in Iraq. I have an 04 G35 coupe, I like the car, but it is expensive to do anything, hard to work on engine wise. I wanted to find a fun car that I could really get knee deep into and turbocharge and do much more than I did with my G35. I found this 97 240SX on Ebay. The car screamed for me to buy it. I have a friend I am in the Army with who was going on mid tour vacation in late January, he lives in Lancaster PA, the car was in New Jersey. It has front end damage, but I see it as a perfect opportunity to put a body kit on, some wider, FRP, front fenders on, and cf hood.

I noticed on this Forum that there is a group of guys in lancaster and I posted looking for a good bodyshop. I got a response from Chris (bersh240). Not only did he refer me to a good guy, but he has also been helping me along with getting things together.

The good and the bad. The front end damage is not as bad as it looks, the bad, the rear bumper and rear quarter panel had bad body work done that was not mentioned or shown well in the pictures. Oh well... This brings me to the present. The car is at the bodyshop and beginning it's resurrection.

On a side note, a damaged CF invader hood and an after market rear bumper are for sale.

I know about the battery, the clutch I don't know, I won't know until i drop the transmission one day... My JWT clutch in my G35 is softer than the stock one.

I am a 15Y, Apache Armament, Avionics and Electrician.

Just a quick post on my way to work, I will be more descriptive later.

Those look GREAT, but over double the price too. Is there a middle ground, I buy parts after seeing reviews, ISIS has none... it is hard to find anything about arm recomendations...

And pics would be awesome, I know he hasn't torn into it yet, but it is coming. That section of metal should be in the mail soon, and I think Bill is buying the Bodykit, hood, and fenders in the very near future, I am going to send him some more money on the 1st for rims, tires and probably an HKS exhaust.

I get that feeling too, I sent him links for the stuff I wanted, it was even on Ebay, which is actually the best deal i could find on duramax. If you have any say in it, V speed 2 Duramax kit with a OEM CF hood, and 20mm M-1 style front fenders. I will be so pissed if he buys some crap kit... ANYWHO, I figured I would post up my current plan for the car that should be done by the end of Summer

send them g35 wheels over. they look awsome on s14s.

so made it over to bills today. tried to get some pics. but bill was busy sanding so i tried not to bug him much.

upon arriving at bills this is what you see.a driveway full of cars hiding under car covers. yours is on the left. the galaxy is on the right.i lifted up the car cover so you could see the damage.sorry for the sucky pics but its cold. and lots of snow everywhere still.but heres a pic of the hood bill just painted. the metal flake was so shiny it hurt your eyes. and thats before sanding and buffing.idk if you can see it well tho..

Thanks for the pictures! Ya, that is the damage... I am planning on going with a simple Gloss Black, or G35 obsidian Black. I don't want to put my G35 rims on the 240 because the price in tires goes up a chunk and I would rather have a 40 profile tire for when I am drifting and autocross like driving, plus I have a 35 profile tire on my 20's and it is kinda rough, and not alot of protection from curb rash. I am considering getting those arms you suggested. I would rather buy the right part once than buy a s***ty one 2 times.

Updated the first posts with pictures from the ebay page that no longer exists. I have decided on G35 Obsidian Black, beautiful color, and it will remind me of my G35 after I sell it.
