Hey guys. Last night was the last night at New England Dragway. So I figured I would go! I've not dynoed my car, or ran it at the track since I built it last winter. I've only been driving it around, taking group drives, etc.But upon finding out it was the last night at NED, I went. I totally surprised myself..First run:R/T .73660' 2.3251/8th 9.220MPH 83.87 (at the eighth)1000' 11.7031/4 13.744MPH 111.01

Now that may not sound all that great. But surprised the **** out of myself! I was shooting to at least break into the 14's... Maybe high 14's.. But upon completing that run, I was forced to put on my 'illegal' helmet. (the sticker fell/came out) Running 13.999 or faster..Next few runs were ok. Hard to get traction on street tires.. 225/45/17 Bridgestone Fuzion HRi's. 2nd run was a 15.000 flat because I went from 2nd, to 5th.. lol3rd was a 13.805 at 107.24 mph...

Now my 4th run.. I was put up against an 800+ HP Monster 'Cuda that was running 8's all day on slicks. He was forced to put on Drag Radials for street night, but I was scared. This thing sounded like a freaking JET! But running next to him I had to step it up. Concentrated, got a good launch... came up with this.R/T .59560' 1.9491/8 8.288MPH 86.881000' 10.6801/4 12.673MPH 113.23

I about SHAT myself.. I didn't think she had it in her! But runs after that were 'decent'. Got a feel for the track. 5th run was a 12.766 at 110.296th run was a 12.894 at 111.637th run was a 13.881 at 110.09 This run sucked. I popped out of 1st gear at launch because of the crappy wheel hop... JAmmed it back into 1st, and then finished the run.8th run was a 12.760 at 111.57

So all in all, I thought I did pretty good. Never actually 'ran' at a track before. I normally just beat the beans out of my car at drift events.. Nice to know some numbers now. I would really like to see if I could calculate some HP numbers from all this..

damn, nice numbers at the end there man!

I still want to put my turbo kit on my coupe and just go to the track and beat on it before the track closes down just to see the numbers.

That is moving on. Under 13 seconds is fast. I've seen a lot of car owners who thought they had 12 or 13 second cars only to find out they were barely breaking 14. Nice job. What is your set up?

Nice numbers, iv got a stock sr powered s13 thats completly gutted that could only run a 8.5 in the 8th, which is like 13.1-13.2. On a t2 sized turbo thats a nice time slip.

How much boost were you running?

Fully built KA. Stock cams with a mild port and polish. 740cc injectors, Z32 MAF, Walbro HP 255, Aeromotive FPR.

GT2860RS .86 turbo. I unhooked the wastegate towards the end. I was running my mixture of 93 octane and a 'few' other ingredients.. About 115 octane.I do have a ROM tuned ECU, but it's for 14-15psi..

I was running about 20-22psi at 3200rpm, then it tapered off to 15psi at 6500rpm. The turbo is nice because of the ball bearings. Awesome for the street and whatnot. I get 10psi at 2200rpm with it. Just not a drag turbo by any means... lol

My car that night was at 3044 lbs with everything in it, including me. They have a scale you can stop on real quick at the end of each run to get your weight.

By the calculators, I'm at like 301-344 rwhp. But it's hard to tell because of the boost all over the place. Probably not the smartest thing to do, but it was my first time at the track and I didn't give a ****...

Had a few drinks tonight guys, so bear with me

Yeah man. That 'Cuda was a beast though. The Vortech Supercharger, or something similar of, was almost the size of a trash can cut in half... It was sick. I actually got some pictures. But he was running 8's all day with slicks. But they made him swap to drag radials for the street night stuff. So he sucked due to traction.

Keep in mind, that the supercharger is bolted to a BIG BLOCK!! It's fvckin' huge...After running that thing, my head was HUGE!!

I was suckin' in the tire department.. I have Bridgestone Fuzion HRI's.. H rated POS tires. 225/45/17 in the rear. All around actually. I only paid 66$ each mounted and balanced at work with road hazard, just in case something 'happens' muahaha

I'm not sure about the HP and TQ. I did the ET and MPH calculator and it put me between 301 and 344 rwhp. But it's probably wrong.

And as far as MPG go. I get about 27-28 mpg on the highway..

Yeah, my car is back woods ready..

I cut a half coil off all the way around when I put my new GR-2's on. But it really didn't do anything... I'm waiting for my buddy to get his coils so I can snag his Eibach's with AGX's..

Car's not really a drag car. I just wanted to see what it could do since I've not been able to hit the dyno. But thanks again for the kind words. I love watching that video.. lol

Thata boy!!!

Great numbers man...unhooking the wastegate FTW Cutting sub 2 sec 60 foot times is the key to a good ET. Sounds like all the work you did and all those conversations finally paid off.

Off topic a bit, my wife may be getting a humanitarian out to Hanscom here pretty soon man Look out Beantown

Eric, after the snow/ice melts in the spring, we should go up together. I've never been on the drag strip. Great times dude - I'd be lucky to beat them
