Its a 95 ka24de with 80,000 miles on it in a 95 se body.

Ok we jus installed a new motor in my car(well used).Car runs good and all but was a lil sluggish at firts so we played with the timming a lil but not sure if its right.(i dont mean chains i mean the dist timiing). We arent Sure what the Marks on the pully mean so we jus gestamated what we were doing and it got better. But would like a diagram of the marks and what i should andvance the car or retartd it?

Heres the compression Was between 178 and 180 on all four!Is that normal?

Also did hook up the Oil p[ressure gauge and at warm idel its around 20 and after a small rev like 3g its quickley at 55 or so.So we beleive thats good?Right?

Car still dosent fill like it has all of its power it need so a lil help with dist would help.

Also revers lights not working after swap(we pulled transmission and motor durring swap but pluged all plugs back in) what could that be

here are the timing marks.

As far as the reverse switch try jumping the 2 terminals in the connector near the switch and see if it lights the lights. key has to be in the on position for them to light. doesnt have to be running though.

did you plug everything back in form the inside of the tank?A quick circuit check you can do before pulling it out of the tank is unplu the 3 wire connector on top of the unit ,find the green wire in that connector and ground it to the body. turn your key on and the fuel gauge should go to full. if it does then you have isloated the problem to something in the tank either its unpluged inside or it is damaged. or you simply got the float caught under something. if when you ground the wire the gauge does NOT go to full then you have a wiring or gauge issue. I suspect its in the tank though and likely something you did since its not working after you did it.

on the connetor ground, unplu it and do the test, The pump and float assembly only mount to the top where you unbolted it there are no mounting points inside.
