Not sure how long this will last but it did a damn good job....Meguiars Ultimate protectant....for use on rubber/plastic/vinyl, interior/exterior safe. Took this photo right after a thorough wash you can see how great it worked. I will put on another coat today.

It'll probably last a week or until it rains, whatever comes first.

I've tried quite a few black plastic darkeners, and none of them last...

Armor all

Autoglym

Aerospace 303

Mothers

Interestingly enough, you can use a heat gun on the mud guards to make them look new, and it lasts!

But for some reason, a heat gun doesn't work on the handles or bumper

I know what you mean, and the heat gun is not a good idea, my mom used one on her land rovers plastic fender flares, a year later it was like they made them easier for the sun to eat at.

I plan on using plasti-dip on these parts now! My handles are painted, i see alot of pathys with that area totally burned out, it sucks :(

Hmm, maybe I should just bite the bullet and get everything painted.

There's a guy not far from me that's cheap and good. He painted both side mirrors for $80 total :bigthumb:

The heat gun method only works on certain plastics also, for example, i tryed the fog light grilles and it didnt work on them, but what i usually use is tire foam/shine and "massage" it in, or mothers back to black ( same concept of "massaging" it on ).
