Hey all, I'm aware lots of S13 owners have issues with cracking on their dash, like mine shown below:

Was wondering what solutions have people foudn to fixing it, restoring it, or just buying a new dash?

Thanks,

Ed

you will probably end up having to get a new dash but then again i dont know because mine is a nice one. but if i was you i would fix things that inhibit performance instead of a new dash

RIght now my inteiror is horrendous, I rather have a nice comfy interior before I start working on the performance. I don't want a sr20det car if its gonna feel like dirty everytime I sit in the car :)

Anyplaces you can suggest finding a dash or something like that?

I guess their is no restoration way hehe.

if you have the time fill it with like bondo or some other hardener, then sand your whole dash down primer it, sand again very smooth, primer again then use krylon paint comes out like fiberglass

cracking of s13 dashes are very common. Good luck finding a good non-cracked one though. I have a feeling those cars are the ones that were garaged...

Is your dash grey or black? I may have black one from a parts car I am buying. $100 sounds fair if you want it. I am getting the car next week

Hey there interested in a black dash primarily. You think you could maybe get a console with it too?

Drop me a e-mail at [email protected] A lot easier that way :)

Very interested though,

Take care,

Holy Crap the crack in my dash is exactly the same as yours. Nuts huh

Well anyway I saw a thread I belive on zilvia awhile back that some talked about re-wraping the whole dash with new vinyl. I Dont know much about it but if you are serious its something to look into

I was reading in IR! (ImportRacer!) and their new project/giveaway car(newer celica)'s dash was stripped, sanded smooth and painted. It looked pretty good, don't know if/how this would work on the 240 dash. I wonder if those vinly/leather repair things they sell on places like the shopping network and infomercials would work, might be worth a try.
