I have a 91' S13 and have a full body kit for it but i want to change the whole colour of the car inside and out!! I can do 2 thingsMedia BlastingDunk Tank In Chemicals

Only concern is that the media blasting is labour intensive and I want the car perfectly clean and down to the metal.

With the Chemical bath it strips the rust, oils, and paint off. I would love to do this. My concern is that I have heard and seen in the 240sx that an industrial type cylicone holds the strut towers, and door mounts to the car. If the bath will take off oil, paint...ect will it take off these parts and I am left with junk? Are they held on besides the cylicone? What do you guys think will happen? Thanks in advance!!Peter

Nissan used an industrial strength adhesive seam filler to support certain parts. If you look at the strut towers, there's a brace that supports the strut tower to the top unibody frame rail. If you take the fenders off you can see that the brace is spot welded in place and then the epoxy was filled in after the fact.

The door hinges are bolted in place, and then supported with the same epoxy.

Nissan didn't rely just on the epoxy to hold those pieces in place. That would be such a bad idea as epoxy isn't as reliable as good old welding.

One thing to remember with tanking the car, all of the paint and sealers will be removed from EVERY nook and cranny of the car. This includes inside all of the from rails, and the double layered floor pan. It allows the possibility of sections to not see any kind of sealant to prevent rust.
