Hi everyone!
I have just started tearing down the vg30dett for rebuilding and upgrading. It came as an spare engine with the 300zx tt that I traded for my ex e30 325 convertible. The car is not in it´s best shape but I wanted to get back on the turbo scene again. And this was the easiest way for me.
Back when I lived in The States (1990), at first I had some muscle cars (´68 and ´69 Camaros, Trans Ams...) but then I jumped into my 280zx turbo. I got to play with it a little bit, made it run 17 psi boost and put an extra inyector to kick in at 3000 rpm more or less. That car really impressed me. So here I am with it´s younger brother trying to repeat flavor!!!
I´m aiming for 450 bhp. It will be slow due to the small budget that I have for this but won´t quit on it.
So far the car has 2´5 JAP Speed exhaust, Greedy turbo controller and Greddy turbo timer. The ECU has a Powerchip socket and turbos are blowing around 14 psi.
The engine that came with the car is getting oil and coolant thru the exhaust, so it is coming down. Will get pics here soon.
Greets from Spain!

Nothing fancy here. Just another project Z.
Will get painted in Mercedes Benz pearl white. I'll post up some more pics once I upload them to photobucket.
By the way Mark, Spanish is my native language, though I have no problem communicating in English since I lived in The States for quite some time.

Well, not more to share on the z32. On september it will get painted and then I will start with the mechanics. Budget is very low thou!
But I do can share some pics of a wonderfull Z31 that I traded for my Fiat Punto diesel.
It´s a 1989 300zx turbo with original 75.000 miles on it. Superb condition in and out. Beeing an european model it came as a 2+2 for my dislikeing but it looks so good that it doesn´t matter any more to me. The only bad thing with it is that previous owner put a 2 DIN radio on it and cut the radio frame to fit it. Thankfully I already found and original radio an trim for it as well as a complete A/C system since this car came without A/C (German Model).
I want to keep it as originall looking as posible except for widening the rear wheels to 9,5 inches, FMIC and 14 PSI blow.

Whatever that radio/thing is sticking out of where the stock radio is looks disgusting. Plus the mismatched rims. Otherwise the Z31 looks clean! congrats

The bones of the car are clean and the other things are little Sunday morning fixes.

That thing sticking out WAS a double DIN chinnese radio. That was the first thing to come out when I got it. Second thing were the xenon ligths. And the mismached rims was me considering the z32 wheels as an option. But I decided to go with original ones. Today I got the windows tinted in very ligth black. The original radio and all of the A/C components will be here next week. I will post up pics as changes come by.

Same thing I thouhgt when I saw this car. Today I was checking under the hood and I found a lot of timing belt play. I figure that the tensioner is gone so I ordered a new timing belt kit. Curious because there is a sticker from a German Nissan dealership replacing the timing belt in 1998 when the car had about 45.000 miles on it. :gotme !!!
