My dad has 2 1959/60 Datsun pickups that i have thus far been unable to find information on. need to have some work done to the engine on one and want more info about them. trying to get someplace that is able to rebuild the engine or upgrade it to a slightly new/stronger model. i am very mechanical and able to do alot of work but its so old and was officially before the US release so information and specs are hard to find so im looking for compatability info for newer/other parts. any ideas input or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hi....welcome.

Try http://www.olddatsuns.com

Look in the tech section and there are service manuals for the 320.

Aaron, 1959/60 would not be 320s.

It is a 1960 PLG-222 which burned oil badly before it was parked (indoors) last century. I drove it to PDX from SFO in the '70's. Slow? Going up and over the Siskiyou Pass, I was driving on the shoulder with fully loaded 18 wheelers passing me in the slow lane.

The parts truck (regist says PLG-221) sat indoors from the time it was towed home to now.

Need rings, bearings, gaskets so that I can get this back on the road. And likely a mechanic to do the engine work. Any suggestions?David
