resonator help

i want to fab up an exhaust system with a resonator in place of a cat and no muffler. maybe 2.25 or 2.5 pipe, but thats not the issue here. the exh. pipe would terminate an unknown distance from the resonator about even to the rear subframe area.

what i'm looking for is a decent resonator that could handle the job of a muffler. of course due to the size/area of installation constraints, a resonator with its slim design would probably be best.

this is to go a na ka with a cone filter and no other engine mods. this car is used almost exclusively for a/x events so legality is not an issue. just want to have a little more civilized exhaust tone than a straight pipe. and want to lose the weight of a muffler and a foot or so of pipe.

any thoughts/comments/suggestions??

i wouldn't worry about the extra weight. it can't be more than 5 pounds which won't make much difference, not anything noticeable.
