Resonated vs Non resonated x pipe

buying one very very soon. Last part of my 3 in exhaust. Should i go resonated or non resonated? Greg said it was a 10% difference in loudness without a resonator. And if i go unresonated will i be able to hear my turbos whirling ?

Non. Then again, this is coming from the guy with turn downs bolted onto his cats, so I may be biased on louder is better. IMHO, the resonators make a positive impact on the sound on the N/A, whereas in a TT, it's just a little extra muffling.

I personally prefer the TT with straight pipes, best sound EVAR!

Do you want it to be loud or not your choice. performance wise. increase difference between HI flow resonator and unresonated is going to be maybe 1 horse power maybe 2. or something. well whiten a margin of error. or something.


The high flow resonaters are not that restrictive, so its going to be louder with little to no benefit.

already bought it from SZ lol 3" 304 stainless steel non resonated x pipe for 440$
i also have the SZ 3' DP's for 675
Z1 Pg race exhaust was also bought today for 750(axel back and test pipes only)
so im all set on my setup. il post a vid when i install it.

Mine used to whistle sitting in the driveway, it was awesome, I am so getting Z1 race CBE when I get back, hopefully by then they have a 4 tip version, if not i'll get one made! TT with no cats and no muffler sounds AWESOME. I miss my car
