whats the difference between a resonated 3" test pipe and a high flow 3" test pipe?
Whats louder and or whats quieter?
whats the benefits of each one and or cons?
anyhelp would be great

High flow implies there are cats. So it wouldn't be called a test pipe. High flow cats wouldn't necessarily be quieter, but would change the sound a small bit.

Test pipes are just pipes. Straight through. No emissions crap. Best flowing thing you can have. Where do you live, because emissions requires cats, but if your state/county doesn't do emissions, delete that crap.

i live in CT and i just got my emissions done about 3 months ago and passed easily, i just didnt want to fail.. plus i dont want to high flow cats to quite the exhast down i plan on getting

im buying 3" dp's and test or high flow cats then the axel back are alll 3" aswell

I have a full 3" TBE, with 3" straight through mufflers, the difference the mufflers make is insane, without them the car catches everyones attention, with them it's no louder than a stock boss 302 or z06

im getting the z1 pg race exhaust. i dont want to quite it down alot if i got high flow, or resonated test pipe. whats the resonator do? and do you think it would still be loud or whats the best setup for it you think?

i want it to be loud, but not Extremely Loud even though the exhaust is meant for that. thats why i was curious if high flow cats would be good to pass my laast emissions and to quite it down some, or get it resonated to quite it down some instead of the high flow. see what im kinda getting at?

Its not defening running straigh pipes all the way out but you will get annoyed on any journey longer than about a hour. with the tops on and the windows closed its too loud for normal conversation inside the cockpit. X-pipe, H-pipe, Straight (no connnection between banks) -pipe wont make a difference in sound levels, maybe there will be a difference in the type of sound you get from the different combos but it will all be very loud. The cat will quiet it down more than anything else you put on. If cops in your area arent anal about emissions you can always keep your stock pipes and swap for emissions, but if the cops in your area check the cars when they pull you over you are better off going with cats.

cops dont check when they pull us over, my previous car was loud and they dont check the exhaust. so, you think going high flow cat is a good idea for a good sound with the exhaust i told you? or just go with the straight test pipe into the x pipe?

cops arent my issues so regardless to cops.. also how much quiter wil high flow cats make the 3"?
