Just want to know if I can use 100 ohm 1/4 watt resistor or do I have to use a 100k ohm 1/4 watt resistor . Went to radio shack and they didn't have 100k.

Sorry about the double post it was a mistake. I have a 95 s14 and I think this motor may be from a 97-98. I have 2 egr related codes

p1401 EGR temp sensor p1400 EGRC solenoid

I know sooner or later I will be turbo charging the car so I just wanted to go ahead and take off all of the egr related stuff. I went to radio shack to get a 100k ohm 1/4 watt resistor that you use to put into the female connector for the egr temp sensor to fool the ecu into thinking the sensor was getting correct temp.

Well they didn't have the 100k ohm 1/4 watt resistor but they did have 100 ohm 1/4 watt resistors so I was wondering could I use those instead.
